Day at the Beach

Last week we finally made a trip to the beach. Though we didn't go in for a swim the time we spent there was simply great. The sun was out and the water was blue, but too bad the wind that blew was a little cool. Henderson Beach State Park is somewhere we would go again. Yes, you do have to pay a small fee. Having access to numerous restrooms and great parking access is what I loved most about it. (They also have a kiddie park and a nature trail that you can also enjoy.)

Here is a small glimpse of how our day was spent.

Levia loved that water so much. The best part was seeing her jump with joy as the waves would crash against her legs.

Feeling the sand in between her hands brought Levia so much joy. I'm already looking forward to the next trip to the beach. Hopefully Levia gets to wear her bathing suit!

10 Months Old

My oh my, how time continues to fly. Levia is growing more and more each day, everyday she is more beautiful. I look back and it's hard for me to visualize how little she was, it was just yesterday we had our little itty bitty bundle snuggled up on our chest. Now, the days consist of her crawling around, pulling herself up to stand up, and countless smiles and laughs that just fill our lives with joy. Within the last few weeks Levia has been learning so much. I have been teaching her basic sign language, she has finally picked up on signing "Milk". You have no idea how proud I am of her! She'll wake up with a beautiful grin in her face and soon after it is followed with her signing "Milk", I know to always give her a bottle but knowing she can tell me in the morning and through out the day is simply amazing! I have been teaching her countless others, maybe within the next few weeks she'll learn them too. Another thing about Levia is she has been watching "Your Baby Can Read". My niece watched it at an early age as well and it worked wonderfully. Levia has been watching it for a few months now and she just started to raise her arms when asked "Arms Up". She just loves it. I cannot believe how smart she is. One of the best things we have taught her that makes our hearts melt is having her give us kisses. All we have to do is ask for a kiss and she will lean in and plant one one you. It's beautiful!

37 Weeks + 10 Months have simply been amazing!
Happy 10 Months my Levia Caroline!
I love you so much!

On another note, you can see what I ended up doing with the DIY Felt Flowers from my previous post. A "10 Months" old banner. I love how it came out, perfect for Spring!

DIY Felt Flowers

Another trip to Target leads me to spend more money than I intent to. I only went for baby water! Of course we always leave with more stuff than what we originally go for. I never mind, I always leave happy when I buy something at a bargain price.

Just to show you what I bought. A little DIY felt flower kit. This little box contains a lot for on 4$, that is such a steal!

Just to name a few of the things in the box are:
Different colour, shape and sizes of felt
Wooden beads
A pack of crystal looking beads
Needles
String
Puff balls

Here are a few photos of what I made. The box also includes how to instructions and photos to give you ideas of what you can make. It's so much fun knowing how creative you can. I'm not sure what I will use these flowers for but I have 2 things in mind. A flower headband crown for Levia's 10 month photo shoot or a flower banner for the background.

Little Bracelet

So Levia's birthday is slowly approaching, the last thing I want to do is rush on everything I have planned. Slowly I have been buying things here and there for her big day. One main thing that I had been looking for is what great gift I could get for Levia. I wanted something "Special", something "One Of A Kind", and most likely handmade. So I logged onto Etsy and that's where my search began. I looked at so many shops that made custom things, from toys to jewelry. Nothing really caught my eye, until I came across Shanna's Wire Wrap Jewelry. Everything about her shop was beautiful. From cute little earring to tiny rings for your toes. She also has custom baby name bracelet (Sizes range from Newborn to 12 months, that also have extender links), these are perfect for keepsakes. Since I bought mine for Levia's first birthday I needed to go with a bracelet that was a little bit bigger (12 month+), so I went with their regular custom name bangle. The good thing about this was you can go as small as 4 inches (I went with 5 inches for Levia) and you get to choose between the colours gold, silver, copper, and rose gold. How amazing is that!

Here are a few pictures at the amazing job that Shanna did. She has no idea how much I love it! This will definitely be going into Levia's memory box once she outgrows it.

Just take a look at how beautifully it is made. I tried it on Levia and it was absolutely gorgeous! If you are ever looking for something similar, go check her out. She will not let you down! (Remember she doesn't only do bracelets.)

I finally got to wrapping Levia's little gift.
