Hello 2014

It's a little early to ring in the new year, but since Levia's photos are already taken I decided to write anyways. It's so hard to believe how fast another year has gone. We definitely made the best out of it. Countless hours spent at the beach, priceless moments spent feeding seagulls and squirrels (Yes! Levia got to hand feed a squirrel.), our first mini family vacation at New Orleans, and we'll be ending this year with a bang. Levia's already wearing her silver, shimmering dress. There  isn't much to do as far as going out, but I have 2 of my loves here and we're going to enjoy every moment of it. Speaking of I still have to make some confetti. Eeeek, I'm so excited.
We already know 2014 is going to be filled with such big blessings.
We cannot wait!

This past year Levia has blossomed so much! I'm so ready to see what she's going to teach me this coming year.

Goodbye 2013
and
Hello 2014!

18 Months Old

The halfway point of 1 and 2.
Where has the time gone. It's as if Levia is already turning 2, but we still have a ways to go. (Luckily!) So much has happened. I can really tell that Levia has actually grown. This month she wore her birthday dress. It fits perfectly! I remember it was so long when she wore it last, now it's a little above the knee. I love how stunning she looks.

She has been talking so much this month. Also naming animals like cat, duck, lion, and elephant. She's even been dancing and singing. She has yet to watch any sort of television so I'm sure she's trying to sing her nursery rhymes. She still signs milk, eat, more, finish, and diaper. When she signs "I love you" I think it's the cutest. Of course she doesn't sign it correctly but she always tries. One thing she has impressed me with is that she's now saying "love you". My heart just melts when she says those two lovely words.

She's still adventurous. Climbing up everything! Our girl has no fear.
This month has also been filled with Levia teething. I have never seen her drool and teeth so bad. It doesn't affect her at all, but she will chew on everything and anything.

I'm ready to see what this next month will bring. What will she say? What will she learn?
I just know that I'll love her so much more.
She's the apple of my eye.
My world.

Happy 18 Months Levia!

Happy Tuesday

So ready for the next couple of weeks to fly by.
So much to look forward to.
So much to be happy for.

For now, I'm enjoying today with Levia. She had a fun bath, she's dressed and looking lovely.
Finally wearing her Zara gold star booties.
She looks so grown up.

Our
Happy Tuesday!

Missing NYC

Oh gosh! How I wish I could go back to NYC.
I loved it!
I'm so glad I was able to leave with fond memories.
The best part of it all, was that I was pregnant with Levia at the time.
I had no idea. She was one teeny tiny peanut.

It times like these that I love having photos of NYC.

Levia's Book

I have seriously put weeks and countless hours into this book. It was all worth it.
When I first started, I didn't see how I could ever fill up 60 pages. Luckily, we had many weekends at the beach, the Pensacola Fair, library trips, and trips to the Pensacola Children's Museum. With out all of this, there is no way I would have ever completed this book.
We've enjoyed many sunsets at the beach this year. It's December and the cold has yet to really come. I know we'll still be spending time there these next few weeks.

I had never planned on making Levia a book. I just didn't really know how to or where to even start. With so many companies out that allow you to make a book, I never knew which one would produce a book with good quality. Luckily, I entered Puj's Father's Day giveaway. I didn't expect to win, but I did. I know Robert wouldn't want me to make a book about him or us. So we both decided that making Levia a book would be the best option.

Artifact Uprising is the company we won the gift card to. It's a company located in Colorado that specializes in making books and printing your Instagram photos. They just started printing your photos on to postcards. How great is that? You can send off your photo to relatives. We have plans to make postcards in the future.

The process of making this hardcover photo book was so easy. What's even greater, is that you save where you left off and sign back on and pick up where you left off. I never got confused at any moment. The uploading process was easy and picking out the layout was cake. I chose not to put any words inside the book. We each decided to write a letter to Levia in the back of the book. It's more personal that way.

We've already made plans to make future books from Artifact Uprising.
We were very impressed with the quality.
Not only was shipping fast, the production of the book was too.

I can't wait to look at this book with Levia and see her reaction every time she realizes that she has her own book.

Seeing her face the first time she saw it was priceless.
She loves it.
And we love it.

Love you Levia!

Cat Hanger

Finally, my fabulous purchase for Levia came in!
Her new Cat Hanger.
I have been wanting this for Levia's wall. Of course I waited until Urban Outfitters offered free shipping since I hate paying for shipping.

I actually assumed this hanger was going to be smaller than what I expected. I was wrong. It's big! I plan to hang Levia's tulle capelet.
She's loving this hanger. Rocking it from side to side and trying to run off with it, she thinks it's a new toy.
I love the details, even if it's printed on wood, I think the quality is pretty good.
The neat thing is that UO offers quite a few different choices of these hangers. From a fox, skull, a black cat, to two different choices of dogs.

Little Lion

My little Lion. Oh how cute she is. She really loves dressing up. Putting on her lion costume puts a smile on her face. It gets even bigger when she looks in the mirror. I think she realizes that she looks like her favorite lion toy.
I was able to snag this costume at Target on sale after Halloween was over.
It's never too late to buy costumes.

When I see her with so much joy, I can't help but realize that her costume collection is going to grow.

Love Love

These past few weeks Levia has been so loving. Giving random kisses to me are by far some of the ones. She's so sweet! I love the little girl that she's becoming.
She's too kind, and I love that about her.

I saw a quote on Instagram.
I can not say where the real source is from, but this is what it said.

"It's not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world, it's our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless."

It's so true. Children grow up to be whatever we teach them.
I have never planned on trying to teach Levia to be "tough". It's not in her nature. I can see she has love and compassion. These are qualities that I hope she carries on throughout the years.
With out that I believe our world is doomed.

I love my sweet, lovely, kind-hearted Levia Caroline.
