DIY Succulents For the Kitchen/Home

I'm a big fan of Succulents.
They're pretty, green, and very easy to maintain.
I've always had a pair in my kitchen, but moved them to my living room where I neglected them a bit.
Of course, not on purpose.
I took them outside where I gave them little water and plenty of sunlight.
Bam, they're back to being bright and pretty.
They sit in our home again, where I have pledged to take better care of them.
Our local Wal-Mart is always stocked on Succulents, so I went the other day and purchased a few more.
What makes it better is they run from $2.50-$5.00 for each one, depending on the size.
I prefer the little ones.
While I was there I also bought glass containers to put them in that cost roughly $2.00 each.
To be exact, these glass container are for desserts, they can be bought in the kitchenware department.
What I love about this project is succulents go perfectly in anything.
Pinterest is a great place to look if you need help with ideas.
I also purchased rocks that were around $2.00.
And the soil that I used I already had from previous gardening.
This project was so easy to do.
It's such a great way to bring in some green without having to worry too much about maintenance.
I already have other plants outside that require quite a bit of attention so this is one way of me being able to have some inside without being overwhelmed.

Here's a look at my Succulents.

Pancakes Fit For A Princess

I had some extra time on my hands to make Levia's breakfast extra special.
I've been able to do this for her here and there, depending on how everyone wakes up.
I tend to fix up a nice breakfast for her using my party supplies.
I've made her rainbow pancakes before, but today we stuck with the pink theme.
I have to say they came out pretty fabulous.
Levia ate all her pancakes too.
Not sure where it stems from, but she really LOVES pancakes.
I'm pretty sure she's happy we didn't stick with our traditional breakfast, which consists of oatmeal with cinnamon and chia seeds.
Whenever I pull out the cupcake toppers she know that breakfast is all about her.
Her face lights up and a smile emerges.
I really look forward to the day she can help me cook.
I have a feeling she's going to love it!

One thing I love about Levia's breakfast is her cup by jj rabbit.
It's a great way to introduce regular cups to toddlers.
It has two handles which make it easy for them to hold.
Not only that, it's also made from plants.
Pretty cool, huh!
They're biodegradable, BPA free, Phthalate free, and PVC Free.
The last cool feature about this cup is the little animal hidden inside the cup.
Levia's has a pig.
You put whatever drink inside covering the animal.
Every time they drink from the cup, they slowly make their way to exposing their little animal friend.
Now that's one way to get toddlers to drink their milk.
(Not that Levia has a problem drinking milk, she loves it. If it were her way, she'd probably drink milk all day long.)

Hello there little piggy!

Monday

Awesome way to start our week.
Got my girls dressed up so we can run some errands.
I couldn't get over how lovely Levia looked.
She was looking extra cute that I just had to capture her, her outfit, and her mood.
She is just divine.
Darling in every way possible.

Pensacola Fair 2014

What a wonderful day we had at the Pensacola Fair.
It's been such a blessing to be here with my family again.
Only this year we have someone special to share these memories with, Rowan.
Though she's too little to remember such day or do anything in general.
I love being able to capture photos where she can one day look at and see that we did everything with her.
Just like Levia, we have only had to use a babysitter once, and that was when I was in labor with Rowan.
My husband and I have a strict rule about babysitters.
We decided to have children because we were ready to raise them ourselves.

Anyways, the fair was great.
The weather was great.
The atmosphere was great.
Everything was great.

At the fair we were able to enjoy an amazing red velvet cake.
Boy, was it yummy!
I wish I could have snapped a photo, but I had one very hungry baby to nurse.
Levia enjoyed getting on some rides.
Of course, toddler friendly rides.
Like the miniature train and carousel ride.
The only downfall of the whole day is we noticed Levia was feeling like herself.
She started to run a fever.
We decided to end our day and go home.
Once we were home, we washed all her toys and gave her some medicine.
Within an hour she was jumping and laughing.
So glad that our day ended up with smiles and laughter.
Every day should be like that.

Friday Loving

Fridays are our "Let's get dressed" day.
Even if we don't go out, I love making sure my girls are dressed up in their best clothes.
During the week, they're dressed very nice but I keep them in comfier/casual clothes.
Today, my photos focused on Row.
I try to take pictures of her every week.
It's a way of me being able to capture her beauty and seeing if I can capture how her features change through time.

I don't think I will ever get over how beautiful my girls are.
They really are.
Maybe it's the "mother" in me talking, but there are times where I can stare at them and just let them know how beautiful they are.
I'm pretty sure I tell them about a hundred times a day.
