Levia's Memory Box

I have been meaning to post about what I keep in Levia's memory box. I have to admit, there is so much stuff in there that I will soon have to buy a bigger box. Things that I have been keeping started before she was born, like all my appointment slips. I couldn't get rid of them!
(I even kept my Pregnancy Passport.)

Here are some tips that friends and family wrote at our baby shower. I put them all together and tied it. I'll go through them once Levia has gotten older.

The things that every Momma keeps. I kept it all! (Minus the dried up umbilical cord, keeping that was never in my book. Its so icky.) I have her hospital blanket, her coming home outfit, a NB size diaper, her hospital hat, hand knitted booties, her hospital band, and the card with all her information. (Wight, length, time of birth, etc.)

Her first crib shoes. These are our favorite shoes! Even though they are for boys, Levia rocked them until she outgrew them. We plan on passing these down.

Levia's first real shoes. Of course they're girlie. She wore these up until she was 6 months. They were the only ones that fit her after she outgrew her dog booties.

I actually have a few of these molds. (Only one if of her hand though, getting her to open her hand and pressing it on the mold is by far the hardest thing you can make a baby do.)

Levia's foot prints are everywhere in our home. These are just two of the one's I decided to show. I use her feet and hands as a form of signature when we make crafts together. It's a great way to keep her entertained.

A few things from her birthday party. I love keeping all the little things. Her cake topper, cupcake toppers, her cake smash outfit, gift wrapping paper from one of her gifts, a bracelet I made from her birthday banner, and a photo of her as a newborn. (I also kept napkins from her party.)

This is our latest project. I traced all of our hands and put them together.

I'm really looking forward to the day that we go through this box together. I think she'll be surprised when she realizes how much we kept.

I know she'll appreciate it.

17 Months Old

Levia's been growing so much! She never hesitates to learn more and more. She knows very well many of her body parts, she no longer struggles with pointing to her chin. I love when she shows you her fingers, how she holds up her little hand with her fingers dangling almost as if she's asking for a kiss on her hand. She has been signing so well, occasionally she'll sign "thank you". She has yet to master "I love you" but she still tries her hardest to sign it. This month Levia has been talking so much! We have no clue what she is saying. She can go on and on when you talk to her. We find it to be very cute. She has also had little outbursts here and there. We tell her to relax, breathe, and just to try and tell us what she wants. A few times she has been able to do so. Levia also got a bed! A big step for all of us. She has started sleeping alone, just not all night. (Yet!) I didn't think she would take having her own bed too well, but she really loves it. I know she loves the comfort of having her Momma and Dada right beside her when she sleeps, so when she wakes up in the middle of the night we are not bothered with her joining us in bed. I know the transition of sleeping alone is something that will take some time. For now we enjoy sleeping, cuddling, and waking up beside her. She may be almost a year and a half, but she's still our baby girl.

Hello 17 Months!

I love how I was able to capture Levia's silliness this time. She usually moves so much that some of the photos come out blurry.

I love you LC!

Little Spurs Fan

I love taking photos of Levia for my husband.
He finally bought her a jersey to support his favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs.
Though they have yet to wear theirs together, I know that when they do, they will both look lovely.
She's seriously adorable in anything.

The Beach in November

What a beautiful day we had today. I honestly wish days like these could last longer. Levia has her own bed. We did a mini "spring cleaning" in our home and donated things we no longer used. I chopped of so much of my hair today, that I feel like I look like a "Mom". I love my new hair cut though, for 15$, I got exactly what I asked for. To end the day we went and took a walk at the beach. The weather was just perfect. It was nice and cool, the breeze was just perfect. I really hope this winter is just as great.

Adventures

I had bought a world map a few months ago from Target, but only recently made some changes to it. I didn't like the white border around it, to me it was too thick. Today I ended up cutting off the white border and left the thin black one that surrounds the map. After that, I ended up burning the edges. My lines were not clean after I had cut it, so burning it really covered that up.

I'm really looking forward to the day this map hangs in Levia's room.
I plan on keeping it for years. Instead of keeping it plain, I added some flagged pins to show places we have been to. Pink are places I have traveled to, blue are places my husband has traveled to, and gold are places we have been to as a family. I hope to pin many more places. I also hope that Levia takes interest in asking us where we have been to and what it was like.

I love how one little blue flag sits alone.

I'm looking forward to new adventures!

Levia's Halloween

Levia's Halloween was a success. We didn't buy her a costume, nor was she anything typical. (Like a cat or princess.) Instead we went toward a DIY costume. She was a little school girl. I really loved how adorable she looked, many people couldn't help but to just look at her in awe. When it came to trick or treating, I really wasn't sure how she would handle it, but she did very well. She managed to squeeze in a nap.

Here's a small glimpse at what her day was like:
