One of Those Days

Friday marked the 22nd week of my pregnancy. We didn't do much that day, but we did have one very long night. We ended up having to take Levia to the ER since she had been complaining of neck pains. They had been going on for 3 nights in a row that we finally decided to take her in to get checked. Poor Levia had spend those days miserable, complaining and crying of her neck hurting. There was nothing we could point out that would cause her to be in such pain. She even walked with her head tucked in like a turtle. Her neck movements were very minimal, she wouldn't turn her head up, with slight turns to look left and right only. I had tried rubbing and helping her move her neck but she'd just cry in pain. She'd tell us and point to her neck saying "hurt, hurt". With the 3rd night here we took her in where they did an X-ray and CT Scan. The X-ray came back a little abnormal, and the CT Scan came back with great results. Everything was just fine! They ruled out infection since she had no inflammation and no sign of any fever. It definitely left the Dr. puzzled, he had no idea what was wrong with Levia. It was 3 in the morning when we finally brought her home. Since then, there have been no complaints of any neck pain from Levia. I'm so glad to have that over with. She has a follow up appointment coming up, praying her check up yields nothing but a healthy, happy Levia. We've been so blessed that we pray for Levia's continued health.
